Overview

Valiant offers a wide range of Time Distribution Solutions. Customers can extract multiple 1PPS, Pulse, modulated IRIG-B (RJ45), Unmodulated IRIG-B (RS422 / BNC), NMEA outputs from GPS / GNSS source. Additional details are provided below:

The VCL-2705, GPS Receiver and Time Distribution Unit is a low cost and high-performance GPS Receiver with multiple IRIG-B outputs which provides sub-microsecond accuracy. The VCL-2705 is designed to provide 1 x IRIG-B (BNC) output, 1 x IRIG-B RS-485 (differential pair with multi-drop capability to support up to 16 RTUs) and 1 x RS-232 (twisted pair) output. Unit also provides one external dry relay alarm contact.

The VCL-2486-G, 16 x 1 PPS + NMEA, GPS Receiver, Time Distribution Unit is designed to provide up to 16 outputs of Pulse and / or NMEA-0183 and / or IRIG-B (mix and match) that is locked to a GPS / GNSS Reference to provide time synchronization to private networks such as Railways and Metro (ticketing and platforms) networks, Airports and Air-Traffic Control facilities, Electric Sub-Stations, Power Distribution and Transmission companies, Oil and Gas Utilities, ISPs and Cable TV networks as well as to Campus networks.

The VCL-2486-M 1:16 Pulse + NMEA Multiplexer is a compact and cost-effective solution to provide up to 16 Pulse; NMEA-0183 outputs. VCL-2486-M 1:16 Pulse + NMEA Multiplexer takes Pulse and one NMEA-0183 as input option to provide up to 16 Pulse outputs; or 8 Pulse + 8 NMEA outputs.

The VCL-2486-I IRIG-B Distribution Unit is a compact and cost-effective solution to provide up to 16 IRIG-B outputs. VCL-2486-I IRIG-B Distribution Unit takes IRIG-B input to provide up to 16 IRIG-B outputs. The VCL-2486-I IRIG-B Distribution Unit used to multiply 1 x IRIG-B to provide 16 x IRIG-B signal.

The VCL-2728, Optical IRIG-B / 1 PPS Distribution Solution is a compact and cost-effective solution to convert Optical pulse to 4 x Pulse Outputs.

VCL-2142-SMC, NTP Submaster Clock can be synchronized to a GPS based NTP Server and may be used to provide time synchronization to multiple NTP slave clocks. NTP Submaster Clock acts as a firewall between NTP Server network and local network in which NTP Slave terminals are installed. It also incorporates the incorporates a unique BCMA (Best Master Clock Algorithm) feature not found in similar competing equipment. The BCMA (Best Master Clock Algorithm) feature allows the user to assign up to 3 NTP Servers to become the best alternate time synchronization sources for the terminal equipment.

GPS Receiver with IRIG-B

The VCL-2705 GPS Receiver and Time Distribution Unit is a low cost and high-performance GPS Receiver with multiple IRIG-B outputs which provides sub-microsecond accuracy. The VCL-2705 is designed to provide 1 x IRIG-B (BNC) output, 1 x IRIG-B RS-485 (differential pair with multi-drop capability to support up to 16 RTUs) and 1 x RS-232 (twisted pair) output. Unit also support dual power supply input for redundancy and one external dry relay alarm contact.

The relay has a rating of 5 Amps (amperes) and a maximum 250V DC, which can be connected to an external alarm such as a piezoelectric buzzer or an DC powered (LED) lamp and can be wired up for either NO or NC contact.

The VCL-2112, PTP Slave Clock is specifically designed for the synchronization of 2G, 3G and LTE mobile telecommunications networks as well as backhaul wire-line TDM Networks. VCL-GPS Primary Reference Clock, IEEE-1588v2 PTP Grandmaster, Time and Frequency Receiver, Synchronization solution with NTP Server.

VCL-GPS, Primary Reference Clock (G.811) with IEEE-1588v2 PTP (Precision Time Protocol) Grandmaster Synchronization Receiver is a high precision, yet cost efficient, time and frequency synchronization solution which provides 1 PPS and can be used to synchronize the time-of-day and frequency across all nodes of the network (using IEEE-1588v2 Master-Slave protocol) from a GPS referenced source. The product supports an integrated, high bandwidth NTP Server engine. Multiple IRIG-B Outputs are provided to synchronize local clock displays as well as RTUs to a central timing source with nano-second accuracy.

VCL-2750, IEEE-1588v2 PTP Slave

VCL-2750, PTP (IEEE-1588v2) Slave Clock - synchronizes to PTP Grandmaster to provide 1PPS, IRIG-B and NMEA Outputs with high stability OCXO holdover.

VCL-2750, PTP Slave Clock (DIN Rail Version) is a high precision, high reliability time and frequency synchronization solution which can be synchronized to a IEEE-1588v2 PTP Grandmaster to provide frequency and time-of-day synchronization across a PTP network with nanosecond accuracy. Multiple 1PPS / IRIG-B Outputs are provided to synchronize local clock (time-of-day) to IEDs, as well as RTUs to a central timing source.

This BCMA (Best Master Clock Algorithm) feature ensures that the NTP Slave equipment always remains synchronized to the best available (Stratum 1) clock source of its master network.
